Brian Coffee, 55, was arrested Tuesday in the sexually battery of a mentally and physically disabled adult at an assisted living facility in Hillsborough County.

Brian Coffee, 55, remained in Hillsborough County jail on 0,000 bail Wednesday evening after being arrested at his home at 905 E Alsobrooke St. A DNA sample linked Coffee to an April 2 attack on an unnamed, non-verbal adult living in an assisted-living facility in Hillsborough County, his arrest report said. Coffee has worked at such facilities throughout Hillsborough County since 2009, and also has worked as a school bus driver in Polk County since December 2010.
"Based on information received from law enforcement in their investigation, we are moving forward with terminating his employment," said school district spokesman Jason Geary in an email to the Tampa Bay Times.
